About Blackthorn Cycles

Blackthorn opened in a coach house off Cork Street in 2004 fixing couriers' bikes between deliveries. Two workshops later it still takes in about 140 bikes a week, and it still refuses to start a job without quoting it first. Roughly a third of what comes through the door is older than the mechanic working on it, which is the part the shop is proudest of.

How the desk works

Live jobs with their reference, state and what happens next. Look one up with its reference and the email it was booked under, or sign in and see your own.

A ticket is looked up by its ticket number together with the email it belongs to — both, always. A signed-in visitor skips that: the assistant reads their own tickets from their identity and never asks for an address it has already been given.

This is a demonstration

The Help Scout connection is on the roadmap, not in production — this page shows the assistant half of it working against seeded jobs so you can judge the experience before the connector exists. Nothing written here reaches a real system.
